Ok, at the risk of straight up hating on little kids, Exposure Compensation has posted a terrific example of seriously the worst kind of Third World Exoticism Porn photography.

These images are touching, they reveal the beautiful essence of children, children that may have their potential broken by lack of opportunity, many of them living in very poor areas or in refugee camps.

Honestly, no they don’t. It’s a bunch of shallow depth of field, all shot from the same angle, pictures of dirty-ass kids (foreign kids!) all giving the viewer the same look of “pwease hewp me.” To paraphrase Travis, how can you operate a camera with hands that heavy?

I don’t know what’s worse, the shitty, boring photography, or the implication that cute things are the only thing worth saving in this world. That’s the appeal we use to ask yuppies to save dolphins and stray dogs, not motherfucking people.
